The Wonderful Water training team consists of race organizers, local volunteers, and Wonderful Water Race participants across the region! This first year training program is offered to all runners (5K or half marathon) as a guide to getting you ready for your first race or a new personal best, and to meet other people with the same passion of running. Each program is 14 weeks and officially starts in July. As a hybrid training program, in-person meet ups and virtual engagements will be offered throughout the program all the way to race day October 8th! What to Expect

Entering the training program brings you to a space that is supportive of runners at all levels, body image and is family friendly. There are three tiers of training plans for the half marathon, one for the 5K, and you can choose which best fits your running experience and goals. Each plan is 14 weeks, has been adapted from other races and professional running organizations, and has been approved by Wonderful Water's certified running coach. In-person run/cross training meetups will be available in the greater Stevens Point area with Wonderful Water team members and volunteers starting in July. For participants not local to Stevens Point, there will be virtual engagement opportunities in the Wonderful Water Training Team Facebook group to engage in the training program and with other participants. You will receive an invite to join the group shortly after registering for the program.
